So let’s jump right into this diaper bag! The Newlie ‘Louise’ bag! Ever since I found out I was expecting baby #2, I knew I wanted a something a little different from a diaper bag. I knew I didn’t want a bag that screamed “baby”! You know, the bag with noticeable bottle pockets and cartoon characters?! But let me throw this disclaimer out there, I own several diaper bags from many brands, and sometimes I do like the typical diaper bag look. But there are days that I just want something a bit more stylish!

With this particular bag made by Newlie, I found just that. For starters, the gold hardware detail with the leather and spill-proof nylon fabrics, is the first thing that caught my eye. Then the versatility of how you could wear it was just what I needed for a toddler and a newborn. This bag can be worn three different ways, over the shoulder, cross body, and backpack style! But let me tell you what my favorite feature is and what completely sold me! The interior zippered insulated snack pocket! It’s like a mini cooler within the bag! I cannot tell you how many snacks and juice boxes I carry around for my growing toddler. And if you’re a parent, you know how cranky these little humans can get if you aren’t well prepared with all of their favorites! Not only does it fit all of my toddler’s needs, but everything I need for my newborn. From her bottles, diapers, wipes, clothes, blankets, bibs, etc. This bag is just perfect! Get into some of the pictures below.

For those that don’t know, my sister started her own blog a few months ago and it is growing at a great rate. Many of her features are done behind the camera with video content. Initially, while she already invested in the photography equipment, most of the posts were shot in front of a plain white wall. And while that’s okay, she wanted to create a set a little more inviting for her guests during interviews. So last Monday, her and I went to our local Target and Marshall’s to pick out of a few pieces. She wanted a cozy look and I suggested a color scheme with a lot of metallic, white, and blush to brighten up the space. I thought it would be really pretty when her lighting (boxed and ring lights) bounced off the silver hues. However, since not all of her guests are women, we added a bit of masculine flair with wooden based rustic chairs. While remaining in her budget and finding quaint items to fit the office space, I was able to pull a few things together for a grand total of $220. This includes the chairs, tables, pillows, curtains, and accessories. I have included pictures with prices. I even found most items are on sale after revisiting the stores. So if you’re looking for similar, go get them now!

Now for the breakdown of cost. Every piece individually was $60 or less. We bought the chairs at Marshall’s for $50 each then I found them at Target for a set of 2 for only $38!!!! Ugh, don’t you hate when that happens?! But Target’s furniture is currently 30% off, so run and look at their options first!

Often times women feel overwhelmed with life’s many challenges, but when we take time for ourselves, even it’s only an hour each day, we feel much better. This means time away from the husband and kids. For me, I need to time to think, like peace and quiet, with my own thoughts to kind of sort through what I have going on that week.
